The Archivist brand collaborates with a diverse community of artists and illustrators, celebrating design in all its forms and proudly supporting creators as well as the creative process itself. For this matchbox, they collaborated with Daren Thomas Magee. Daren is an illustrator, muralist, and designer based in Ojai, California, and the mind behind Real Fun, Wow! His work floats somewhere between the natural and supernatural, the real and imagined. He freely admits he doesn't always know exactly what he’s doing, but that’s precisely the point. For him, the most important thing is the freedom to explore, express, and share whatever comes through in the moment. Real Fun, Wow! is his way of inviting people along for the ride: a little strange, a little crazy, and occasionally profound.
